Not Just Anywhere….Absolutely Waterford

Monday, November 17 at 6:30, 6:50 & 7:10 – Take a light-hearted look at the people and businesses making up Waterford’s downtown Heritage District captured through the lens of a camera.  The video was produced by cameraman Nick Strong of Waterford-based Strong Event Productions who collaborated with Waterford Executive Director Cynthia Jensen to create the promotional video complete with an original score from Don Wiggins from Vortexx Music.  Absolutely Waterford is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to the preservation of Waterford’ unique identity and rich history and promotes the commercial revitalization of its downtown.

Learning New Languages with Powerspeak

Several requests have come through recently for Rosetta Stone.  We offer an alternative to this fun, easy way to learn languages: Powerspeak Languages.  Powerspeak is available on the reference page of our website.  You must click through from our website link in order to have all options available for you.  You can learn Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, or English as a second language through audio, video and interactive lessons. You can create a login and save your progress.  Try this language learning system today for a fun and proven way to gain quick proficiency.

Holiday Contest Begins

Attention children ages 5 – 12!  You could be the one to light the Village Christmas tree at the library on Saturday, December 6th, ride in a horse-drawn carriage during the holiday parade, and other great prizes!
Every day that you check out five items or return a special completed coloring sheet you may enter the contest by filling out an entry form and putting it in the decorated gift box at the circulation desk.
Entries must be in by Saturday, November 29.
