Have a roaring good time at Waterford Public Library this summer! Join us for our 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, Unearth a Story! All ages are welcome to participate. Registration begins Friday, June 5.
Kids Ages 0-11
Kids will ask their grownup to mark off six items on the weekly reading record throughout the week. Bring the completed reading record to the library each week for a small prize, a grand prize drawing slip, and the next week’s reading record.
Teens Ages 12-17
Teens will complete activities on a weekly Bingo sheet. Turn in your sheet each week for a small prize, a grand prize drawing slip, and the next week’s Bingo sheet.
Teens entering eighth grade through twelfth grade are eligible to volunteer at the library. A sign-up sheet is available at the Children’s Information Desk. Teen volunteers will receive a grand prize drawing slip for each hour they volunteer.
Adults Ages 18+
Adults will complete activities listed on the Adult Summer Reading Challenge sheet. Ask for one at the registration table or Information Desk. Complete activities for each “layer” of the challenge to earn a prize and a grand prize drawing slip!
All reading records, Bingo sheets, and adult challenge sheets must by turned in by July 18 in order to enter the Grand Prize Drawings. Winners will be drawn the week of July 20 and notified by phone. Good luck and happy reading!
